Hiking can often feel intimidating to start…with questions around preparation, experience, knowing where to begin, and sometimes endless google searches or youtube videos may be tiring to skim through.

HikeForFan Community Meetups is designed to remove that barrier with first-hand experience by your local community member.

Each session brings together individuals from the HikeForFan community to share their personal hiking experiences & lessons learnt in an open and approachable setting. Through these sessions, attendees gain practical insights, honest perspectives, and a clearer understanding of what to expect on their own journeys.

This is not a formal class or technical workshop.

It is a space for people to learn from one another.

What to Expect

Each meetup features five community sharers, each presenting a personal hiking or travel experience. Each sharing is followed by a short Q&A, allowing attendees to engage, ask questions, and gain deeper clarity. The session concludes with time to connect and mingle, encouraging conversations within the community.

Meet-Up Details

  • First Wednesday of every month

  • 8:00PM – 10:00PM

  • Address: Kallang area (indoor space)

  • Capacity: 30 participants

  • Format: In-person session

Registration is compulsory & FREE of charge. Email confirmation will be sent within 1 working day.

Communal Roles

  • Community Meetups is open to anyone with an interest in hiking/travel/adventure.

    Whether you are:

    • exploring your first hike

    • planning a trip

    • or simply looking to learn from others

    You are welcome to join.

    There are many opportunities to also interact and ask questions to the contributors to find out more about the related topic/hike, with first-hand experience.

    No prior experience is required.

  • We invite members of the community to contribute by sharing their hiking/travel experiences.

    If you’d like to contribute for this month’s session, select “I would like to apply as a Contributor (Sharer)” on the RSVP form.

    Each session will feature five selected sharers.

    Sharing Format

    • 15-minute presentation

    • followed by 5-minute Q&A

    Presentation Guidelines

    • Maximum of 10 slides (e.g via google slides or keynote)

    • Visual-based (photos only)

    • Slides may contain single or multiple images

    Submission Requirements

    • Slides must be submitted at least 5 working days prior to the session

    • All submissions are subject to review and curation

    If there are more applicants than available slots, priority will be given for future upcoming sessions.
